Hamissou is currently a Research Associate in the Africa Multiple, Cluster of Excellence at Bayreuth University. He is also a junior fellow at the BIGSAS doctoral school at the same university. His research interests and experience include religious studies, slavery, radicalisation, poverty, pedagogical integration of ICT, cognitive justice and open science in Niger. Fascinated by digital technology, he is also the Director of the Centre for Training and appropriation of ICTs (CEFAP-TIC) in Niamey.
