        Abdellah is a BIGSAS Junior Fellow completing a joint PhD from Mohammed V University (Morocco) and Bayreuth University (Germany). He obtained a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Language and Linguistics from Hassan II University and Mohammed V University, respectively. His doctoral research investigates the extent to which the recent changes in the Moroccan language policy have contributed to the revitalization of the Amazigh language by assessing patterns of its ethnolinguistic vitality using UNESCO’s language endangerment and vitality model. Besides his experience as a teacher of English language, he has organized and participated in various national and international conferences. He is also a published author in Scopus and Web of Science - indexed Journals. His research interests include language politics, language ideologies, and attitudes, language endangerment and revitalization, minority languages, and Amazigh/Arabic syntax.
