Thierry Boudjekeu is a Junior Fellow at the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS) of the University of Bayreuth. He is preparing a PhD on Slave memory in Francophone Africa. His previous research focused on the aesthetics of oraliture in African novels. His current academic interest are trauma, memory and history of the Slave Trade in West Africa.
Thierry has a strong interest in social entrepreneurship and has a long history of civic engagement in Cameroon and Germany-based associations. He is passionate about classical music and performs in cultural and artistic occasions as an amateur tenor singer.
Professionally, Thierry Boudjekeu boasts of several years of language (translation) and communication experience with international organisations for which he both works and volunteers.
He is the founder of TradSpace, a translation firm which provides customised language solutions for both private and public entities, helping them reach out and expand to Francophone Africa.
